    KIWANIS CLUB OF LOS ANGELES                  
LAST WEEK

We had an excellent turnout for last week’s meeting, including Lt. Gov. Lisajo McGee for her official visit.
We were delighted to meet Thomas Deutz, a member of one of 2 Kiwanis Clubs in Aachen, Germany.

	Thomas gave us a brief insight into Aachen, noting that it is an old city located very close to both the Netherlands and Belgium.  As a result, his Kiwanis Club has members from all 3 countries.  The club was built in 1980 and has 37 members, many of which are of an advanced age (sound familiar?).  Thomas presented us with a flag from his club.  We will add it to our banner.
